Royal Oak won't return medical marijuana

ROYAL OAK -- The city won't return medical marijuana confiscated from a registered patient during a traffic stop or compensate him for it, according to a letter sent Tuesday to the American Civil Liberties Union.

West Bloomfield Township Report
MMMA members, it is a great pleasure to report that the West Bloomfield Township Board voted this evening to delay the passage of any ordinance regulating the sales of medical marijuana, for what appears will be a lengthy period of further study.

Community standards regarding medical marijuana are all over the
board right now in Michigan. Some police and PA's (like neighboring Kalkaska
County) still believe patients need certification cards prior
to obtaining plants or medicine. Not in Grand Traverse County---we wrote our local PA for clarification.
The Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney, Allen Schneider,
didn't answer any questions about 'implementation' of the MMMAct but
he will recognize MDCH paperwork in lieu of certification cards, and
he will ensure that local police do too.

I just talked to Tom at the township. People are going to be allowed to comment, no registration or sign in. Starts at 7:30 pm
Normally he says at a 'second reading' people are not allowed to comment however there has been much controversy it seems, and we will be heard.
There next meeting will be the 15th of March, supposedley to vote on it.

Recap of the Political Meeting in Calhoun County
Wow, what a meeting. Today we dissected the Referendum we plan to put on the Ballot for 2010. I was amazed at the precision in which every section/sentence was throughly reviewed and the many changes were requested. We are building this referendum, one statement at a time. When we are finished we hope to have a template that will work in West Michigan.
Doctor to open pot clinic in Kalamazoo to help patients

KALAMAZOO — Dr. David Crocker has never given a recommendation for a patient to use medical marijuana to treat a debilitating condition.
But that will change Monday when Crocker is set to open Michigan Holistic Health — the first full-time medical marijuana clinic in Southwest Michigan — at 500 W. Crosstown Parkway, near the corner of South Westnedge Avenue, in Kalamazoo.
“I think we’re going to be very busy, very fast,” said Crocker, 44. “This is a service that is really lacking in this area.”
Some questions, some answers
Well, I see the fur was flying fast and furious overnight. Of course my overnight is everyone else’s evening. Don’t expect to see me much after 7:00 pm and I won’t call upon you at 3:00 am when I’m up and puttering around.
Phatty is demanding, and deserves, answers to several questions. Lots of rumors flying for 2 weeks now and most of the time it comes down to lots of statements, very few actual questions. But I’ll try my best. One thing though, many of these answers are going to be EXACTLY the answers I’ve been giving all along.
